Beretta 686 auto to manual safty

Has anyone on here ever converted an automatic safty on the beretta 686 to a manual safty. If so, what does it involve?

  Hello Ben, This is a very common conversion as many of the 680 series guns come with a manual safety. Auto safeties get in the way at sporting events. I have done several and as I remember you remove the stock, work the action and you will see a transfer bar about 2" long on the left rear side of the receiver. This needs to be removed. I belive it required a small flat screw driver and a pair of needle nose pliers. Replace stock and you are good to go.

  most work on the same principal. the idea is to remove the means in which it transfers. good luck!
