10/22 magizines sticking

I have a 10/22, but when I try to release mag, I have to open action
depress mag release and push the magizine out.
any ideas what the problem is?

    sounds to me like you don't have the right mag , are you sure its for a 10-22 and not the 77-22? I know they both look alike but on my rifles if i use the mag that is for the 77-22 in one of my 10-22 it hangs , I don't know why but it sure does ,,, the 77-22 mag is flat across the botton where the ones for the 10-22 are rounded ,,,,, so i would try a new mag and see if that helps , take the rifle right to a good gunshop and try several in it

    Not sure if you are new to the 10/22 or not so please dont be insulted. The 10/22 mags are not a "drop free" type and most have to be pulled with your fingertips if this is a factory gun. I press the mag release with my thumb and use my thumb and index finger to pull the mag out. thought this info may help. If it is really stuck, I agree you may have the wrong mag or a mismanufactued one, perhaps with a burr or catch on it.
