winlite pump shotgun

I am looking for information pertaining to a winchester pump shotgun made during the late sixtys, {winlite} with a fiberglass barrel and steel liner.I once had one in my hands only to be told that the factory recalled all of that model, the used gun store clerk informed me.This has always bothered me,and I am wondering if there are any around and what the model number was or is.

    Hello Ronald: winchester made the Md 59 Semi-auto 12 ga. with the steel iner wrapped in fiberglass line. 1959 introduced, first cateloged in 1960, production stopped in 1965. they were not recalled. However they were not that durable, receivers cracked, the finish on the barrel wore easily exposing the fiber glass. the gun really had to be babied. As far as I know, winchester never made a pump with a "Win-lite" barrel.

    ron, do a gb search for winchester model 59 and see some of whats on auction. the majority are pretty well shot out, so prices go around 250 to 350. the nicer condition the more of course. good lcuk!

    Good morning Ronald: Bobski is right most are in the $250-$400. Real nice ones with the "choke tubes" have been going between $500-$600. Of course the ones with a fixed choke, the shorter the barrel and more open the choke is will be on the high end. Regards Dave

    The plant that I manage is a forging company, years ago the Baker shotguns were manufactured here, thought you might find that interesting.

    Today we are more of a job shop,our envlope includes many forgings, weldments, machined and heat treated wigets.We have a large customer base including such names as Nissan, Toyota - twomotor parts, oramental railings,lift or tow hooks found on all hummers {military}versions.
    Nothing as exciting as shotguns.
