22 Rifle scope mounts
1) What is the proper term for the standard scope mounting grooves in most 22 rifles?
2) Does anyone make an adapter for the these grooves to go to a standard 7/8" weaver base?

Ive never heard a proper name for the grooves on a 22 other than the description "receiver grooved for scope mount" as in makers literature.
Tasco and others make a conversion base that mounts on the groove and accepts standard rings,they sell for 5 or 6 bucks.

marlin calls it a grooved reciever. as for the bases, i don't know. but, you shouldn't have any trouble finding rings that fit on the reciever. sounds like something to just take up more money and not really accomplish anything.
