colt model 70 ?

I recently bought a colt model 70 MK IV government 45 at an auction. It is a nice shooter but somebody has treated it very rough. I was giving it a good cleaning and I honestly believe it is the first time it had ever been taken down and cleaned. I noticed the barrel is rough almost like it has been allowed to rust and pit or something corrosive has gotten in there. It seems to be just as accurate if not better than any other pistol I have shot. Should I replace the barrel and if I do will a regular 1911 barrel fit it, and if I replace the barrel do I have to relace the bushing and do I just get a 1911 bushing or is it different?

    Hello the series 70 colt IMHO is one of the best base for building a match pistol there is . The series 70 barrel has a spring fingered bushing. You should either replace with another 70 barrel or a different barrel and bushing. I have some like new TAKE-OFF 70 barrels I will sell you one contavct me Karl.
