    I had been looking for various parts such as steel frames to replace brass ones with and other things.
    One site lists a difference between replacement cylinders. It has cylinders listed for brass frames and steel frames. The cost difference is minimal. But I was wondering if it was a marketing ploy, or if there is a real safety issue.
    I am just trying to figure this all out and do it right.
    I was also looking around for a Tap O Cap, with no results. I have some regular shooters, but I have become interested in Black Powder. It seems simple enough that an owner could probably determine evrey aspect about the guns themselves to a degree of self sufficiency that you can't get from the little supply train of alot of modern weapons. Its interesting.

    I'm a little more familiar with long guns as far as the BP goes, so I really can't help you on the revolver issues. Both Dixie Gun works, and Lock Stock and Barrel have tap-o-cap systems for sale, as well as a lot of other items. Here are the links:
