    Looks like a good deal if you can fix it yourself.
    The barrel and forend appear to be about 1/16" too far forward.
    Whatever the problem it looks like an easy repair

    I want to warn you that these little rifles can be addicting. When you get this one up and working well, you'll find yourself thinking about all those other little Winchester 22s, that most folks don't particularly like. They're fun, at least as accurate as most of the new stuff on the market today and they don't cost an arm and a leg. Best of luck with fixing up this one.

    the winchester 190 which i believe that is ,has a barrel nut under that shroud, which has a habit of coming loose.remove the shroud and tighten the nut and clean it good and ill bet your problem is solved.i have had 1 of these for years and that seems too be the common problem with them.other than that they are great shooters.let me know if this was the prob.thanks don
