Simmons Warranty Info?

I bought a Simmons 3-9x32 scope, used, at a going out of business sale at the locla gunstore. It isn't abused, it actually looks pretty new. When I got home I noticed something rattling around inside. I looked in through the scope and saw some sort of retaining clip. My question is this ; Will Simmons still honor the warranty even though it is used? I only paid 5 dollars for it but I still want to be abel to use it.

    i think that they will honor it. might find their web site and send them a question or look in the faqs

    I'm not an expert, but i did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

    I believe that Simmons, Weaver and Redfield are all owned by the same outfit. They don't fix anything, they replace it with what they have in the refurbished or leftover box. They charge a nominal fee, $10 the last time I did it, for shipping and handling. You need to call (800)285-0689 and find out what they want these days.

    Just had to say this.

    Several,well maybe 10-12 years ago,well before I found you guys,I had a Simmons scope that I had bought used,in the box with all the papers.

    I used it on some gun I had at the time and all was well.I sold it to a guy here at work later and he brought it back all screwed up(looked like you were lookin' through a prism or somethin'.).Bein' the swell guy I am,I gave him his money back figurin' I'd send it back for repair.

    The warranty papers had everything I needed to know about the warranty,but,NO PHONE NUMBER,NO ADDRESS,NOTHIN'!!

    I finally gave it to another guy here at work and after jumpin' through all kinds of hoops,he finally got an address or somethin' to send it to.

    He did finally get it back and all was good,but.[V]

    why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

    I bought a used Simmons and had a screw fall out. Mailed it in and they fixed it for N/C. Had it back within 10 days. They are very easy to deal with.
