afghan enfields value
Recently brought back, first rifle has lock marked BSAC 1871 crown over VR , second rifle is marked Enfield 1858 this rifle has flip up sights both are in good to very good condition with sling swivels and original ramrods. Possible 1856 or 1861 (P1856 or P1861) cavalry carbine.

The problem with a lot of these so called "Afghan Enfields" is that most of them are really "Kyber Pass Specials". The village gunsmiths in and around Darra Pakistan, ( the so called tribal territories ) have been making copies of various British Military firearms for at least 125 years.
The only way you can verify that these rifles are original is to take them to a knowledgeable dealer, or collector for a hands-on appraisal.
