Winchester 94-32w.s.

Hey guys...my husband has a Winchester model 94-32w.s. rifle, serial #1133775, made in New Haven, CT, U.S. of America. It is in good condition, dark wood with one nick in the stock, no rust, black steel and there is brass around the chamber, the gun has never been cleaned from the looks of it. If you could give us any information about the history and value of this rifle we would appreciate it very much.

    Hello jarakana,

    First, it is actually a Sporting Carbine (versus a rifle), and second, it was manufactured sometime in the late 1930s (1938/39).

    I am extremely confused by your statement "there is brass around the chamber"[?] There should not be any brass or bronze around the chamber, at least not on an unloaded (empty) gun.

    I can not give you a reasonable value estimate without knowing more about the graded condition of the gun, and exactly what you are referring to about the brass. I highly doubt that it has never been cleaned, but if that is really a truthful statement, then it can not be considered to be in "good condition". It would be much the same as you owning a 10-year old car that you never washed or cleaned.
