22-250 Load
I am about to make a load for my savage model III 22-250 I have Federal 210 primers, 55 Grain Hornady Spitzer heads and Hodgedon
H-380 power my cousin loaded up 2 shells with 36.6 grains h-380 powder i have been looking i different books and most of them say use atleast 38 -41 or 42 grains of h-380 powder with 55 spitzers so my concern is is 36.6 grains too little of powder for the load. or should i use more powder

i think that is about the right starting point, go to the paintball forum and check out my 22-250 powder question. it has a wealth of information in it about h-380.

My load in a pards rem700 VLS in 22-250 is this far doing .3moa with 38.5gr of H380 under the 52gr SMK with no pressure signs. I beleive 3600fps is the speed. You are probably in the ballpark at 37.5-38.0gr maybe a tad more. I am sure you can find a good fast load maybe a bit higher,..it all depends on your chamber and barrel.
why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....
