1911 Ithaca 45

What is the approximate value of an Ithaca 1911 45? I was offered one from a guy that claims he bought it 40-50 years ago mail order from an arsenal. It's supposed to be shot very little and in the same shape as he recieved it.
Any help will be appreciated,

    $500-1,500, depending upon condition & how much of the gun (& finish) are original. We'd need to see detailed photos to be able to tell you any more.

    But, you're likely to get hurt if you pay $500.

    Likely to get hurt at $500.00? or not get hurt? Should the original finish be parkerized or blued?

    Ooops, sorry, that's a typo; I meant to say UNLIKELY TO GET HURT.

    It should be parked. That is, I'm assuming that it really IS an Ithaca, & not an Ithaca slide on a frame made by another company. Since you did not give us the serial # or the inspectors initials from the left side of the frame, I really can't tell from here.
