Ammunition Identification/Evaluation Please

Got this from a friend in Michigan. Appears to be in Latin, but I am not sure.

I am thinking it is just surplus junk, but I thought I'd post it up anyway to see if I could find out what it is for. Approximately 40 rounds, and what appears to be the top of the box it was in

    I have a .303 Savage Rifle and have no use for the Brit. stuff

    The Greek .303 is some of the best surplus out there, it is excellant quality, boxer primed (reloadable), and I believe non corrosive. NO OFFERS TO BUY SELL OR TRADE ALLOWED ON THE FORUMS.....

    All information is correct.

    This is Greek ammo with green primer annulus and headstamped HXP. I bought a box of this stuff a year ago at a gun show only mine was made in 1983. It is great 303 British ammo and is in fact, noncorrosive. I have shot about half of this box and it is great practice ammo.

    The HXP headstamp signifies it was manufactured at the Greek Powder & Cartridge Company, Athens, Greece in 1969.

    This stuff is not very valuable. I think I paid something like 10 bucks for a 40 round box.

    .303 Savage and .303 British are different cartridges, not interchangeable. You couldn't chamber a .303 Brit in a lever action Savage, even if you used a 4 lb hammer.
