Remington Golden Bullet Opinions?
I am finding the bulk pack Remington Golden Bullet .22LR to be nothing but jam, jam, jam in my Ruger 10/22 rifle and my Taurus PT-22 semi-auto pistol.
How do you all feel about this cartridge? I just bought a val-pack of Federal .22LR that I am hoping will work better.

WW, I am surprised you are having issues with the Golden bullets. I have had excellent performance with them. I buy the 550 bulk pack at WalMart for $8.96. I shoot them out of a Marlin 7000, Norinco ATD .22, Taurus PT22 and my Ruger MKII (all semi auto). Never had any jamming issues. I also like the Federals as well. Nothing but reliable performance so far. I recently bought a box of the Dynapoints from Winchester and have been wanting to do a field trial at the range testing all three and posting some pics, but have not yet had the time to do it. Someone on this forum said the Dynapoints had a lot more velocity than the other 2. I am looking forward to trying them.

I use the Remington's in reveolvers and bolt action. I also had problems with it in semi-autos. I have better luck with Federal and CCI in the semi-auto rifles and pistols. 0 -
Every gun is unique in what it likes. I am a .22lr nut and have a lot of them. The Walmart Golden points work well for me in every semi I own except one and in that one they jam all the time - in my 2245 I get one inch groups at 50 yds. with the Rems. In that semi that jams with golden bullets, the Federals are flawless yet in my S&W 2214 Feds Jam 100% and the Golden Bullets are perfect. Contrary to most peoples reports, CCI Mini-mags are liked and disliked by my various guns but all my guns work perfectly with Stingers and some show best accuracy with them. I have tried many many other brands with mixed results with all.. I go to Wallmart and buy Golden bullets, Federals and Stingers. Any Gun I have ever run into likes one of them. For semi auto reliability always use a High Velocity plated bullet. All rimfire brands have a few duds. Just the nature of the beast. That's why I use a CF for defense. 0
