Rifle selection opinion!

Been looking at two guns cant decide which one is better thought I would put it out there and get some opinions.
The 1st is the SAKO 75 chamberd in a 300 ultra, Sako has discontinued this gun for lack of sales. Looks like about a grand.

The second Gun is the weatherby Mark V Deluxe in a 300WBY I would love to hear all the thoughts. This one around 1559.00

Any ideas

    No questions asked, the Sako is by far the better of the two guns! A $1000 is a bit stiff though. Take a look on GB or on {elsewhere}. They can be had for a bit less. Enjoy.[:)]

    I will be hunting Elk with this new rifle,,I have been very successful over the years shooting a remington 7mm mag. Just sort of got the wants for a new gun and differant caliber.

    I don't think you could go wrong with either. Sako's are f'ing sweet though. But I fell in love with a Weatherby in 300Mag.

    Better to carry a pistol and not need it than need a pistol and not have it.

    I have the Sako 75 SS in the 7mm Ultra. Sweetest gun I have ever touched. It is so smooth I had to increase the trigger pull to 2.75 pounds because it feels like a hair trigger at 2#. My friends argue that there is no way it is 2.75 but we measured it about 7 times in a row with the scale when we set it. The stock is a great cold weather stock and the bolt is smoooth!!!!

    The price of Weatherby shells is outrageous. Go with the Sako.

    Personally, I like the Sako. Either way you won't go wrong, but both are a lot of bucks, both hold value well.
