.44 mag Super Black Hawk
I just purchased a fine example of this at a local pawn shop for $349. I would say at least condition 9.I think I got a great deal , agree??

A Super Blackhawk is a great and extremely reliable pistol. I have owned one for years and it is one of my favorites for the 44 Mag because of its strength and heft.
I am not sure what condition "9" is. Most reference books go by percent or condition such "like new", "very good", etc. Also since you didn't mention it, I am assuming this is a blued gun and a new model.
The Blue Book lists the Ruger Super Blackhawk in 100% condition at $400.00, 98% as $300.00, 95% as $245, 90% as $170.00.

$349 would be a good price for one of those used if in excellent condition. If you want to know the "real world" prices, you can do a search of completed auctions here on Gunbroker.
I've seen well-used ones going for $250 right here on Gunbroker.
Stainess steel is worth a little bit more than blued.0 -
I just sold my 5 1/2" blued model for 300 , it had hardy been used , still had box and papers, 2 sets of grips , i waas happy with the price i got for it 0 -
It's a good price - I have three - a 10 1/2" SS and two blue 7 1/2"ers - wouldn't want to part with any of them ... as well as my 7 1/2" Blackhawk. You'll enjoy it. 0 -

I got my stainless in 7.5 inch new for $400 and some change. Considering the amount of abuse these guns can and do take, I think they keep their value well. I'd say you paid a fair price.

I've had two S&W 29s since 1976 and always felt they were the greatest. Then 2 years ago I got a well used SuperBlackHawk that was in 60% blue. It was $225 so I thought, gee I can use it a while and always resell it for what I paid. Well, I really like it better than the 29s. I've put 2000 rounds through it without a hitch and plan to use it in deer season this year. I'm sorry I didn't get one sooner, not to mention the 3 screws I passed up in the last 30 years. 0 -
