My finds Reising 65/Win 55

Howdy everyone, I'm at the gunshow in Louisville, and I came upon a Winchester 55 single-shot in excellant condition, and a H&R Reising 65 with the peep site. Can anyone tell me more about these guns? Any info or experience is appreciated. If you are going to the show, stop by my table at the Hi-Standard Collectors booth in row S. I'm the bald guy with the Mooseyard Precision shirt on.

    All I can tell ya,off the top of my head,about the Riesing is that it was made as a military trainer in the general configuration as the Garand.Weighs in at about nine pounds(not exactly a squirrel gun.[:D])

    Found mine(the only one I've ever seen) in a pawn shop for $150 and is probably the most accurate .22 I own.

    I have some info on them at home if ya need it later.

    Hello Mooseyard,

    The Winchester Model 55 is an interesting little rifle, but is not worth a whole lot... typically about $150. They are not highly sought after by most Winchester collectors (which makes them a good deal), but a few folks do collect them.

    Thanks guys for the info. Both are guns are priced over blue book value, but that doesn't always mean that they are a bad deal. They are never going to go down in value I guess. I'll probably pick them up tomorrow morning.
