Auto-ejecting revolvers
Here is the ultimate auto-ejecting revolver. The hooklike device completes the rim support of the chambers. It is pivoted on the screw that can be seen on the rear of the topstrap. When the hammer hits the primer of the cartridge that is in battery, it also strikes the other side of the lever which ejects the previously fired shell.

So let me get this straight, this gun actually ejects a spent case every time you fire it, like a semi-auto pistol? Who would want that?

Do you by chance have this gun on hand? Could you take "action" pictures of the ejection cycle?
Do you know who made it (I'm guessing England or Belgium), and when it was made?

I wish I had the gun in my possession. It belongs to a friend of mine. The gun itself is a Webley Bull Dog. The mechanism was patented by Messrs Silver & Fletcher. It also includes a safety which works by rotating the flanged cylinder at the rear of the hammer. The ejector is positive and works perfectly, but the mechanism is impractical because the loading gate must be left open for it to work. This is the only known example of a Bull Dog so fitted, but there are a small number of Webley RIC # 1s with it and some were even fitted to Colt SAAs! 0
