Vector V-53 Pistol

Okay, so its in many people's opinion that the AR-15 pistol's are a BAD self-defense weapon. How about the V-53 pistol? Its a quality clone of the HK-53, which many SWAT and foreign military personel use. Would this make a decent self/home defense gun? Any help would be appreciated!

    It is not that the AR-15 pistols are bad, it is that kind of firearm has very limited praticle use. Basicaly what you end up with when you take any firearm ment to be a long gun, get rid of the stock and shorten the bbl, this includes pistol grip shotguns, is not too useful. There are two reasons for this: One is that you have a firearm that makes a really big pistol that is hard to carry, and hard to shoot well. The second is that you diminish the pratical use of the round, increase noise and flash when you shorten the BBL. The only real way to make it somewhat useful is to have a stock on it, and register it as a SBS.
    Now with all that said I would love to have all kinds of pistol sized rifles, HK, AK, Uzi, ect, they are tons of fun to shoot. If I needed it for true self defense I would either get a good rifle, a good pistol, and/or both.
    I have the AR pistol and it is tons of fun.
