Have Winchester of 1917 in the closet. 30-06 with Herter muzzle brake on it. Doesn't appear to be original. Not finding much info on this production. Post some thots on the rifle. Thanks, GW. 0 -
I have that same rifle but it's not for sale, bought it new in the box in 1986. Difference in a lightweight and featherweight is about 6 or 8 oz. the lightweight being lighter and the featherweight has a prettier stock and nicer finish on the metal. The lightweight is harder to find but was cheaper when new and is still cheaper used than a featherweight. Mine only cost $285 brand new, at the same time featherweights were $80 more.
The stock was refered to as a "Wintuff" stock at the time it was made.0 -
Im not looking for one I already have one but just trying to see if its worth anything. i got the kelly bluebook value but just wondered if there was any added value because I cant find any on the net. 0
