1911 Question
If you wanted a good 1911 would it be better to buy the Springfield and add the options you wanted yourself, or buy a Kimber that is already tricked out, or something else that I have not mentioned? You guys generally give good advice so that is what I am trying to get again. Thanks guys!

Hello The orginal 1911 and 1911A1 had steel triggers . The aluminum trigger came about when everyone tried to lighten the trigger pull.Then when the pistol is fired the trigger itself if heavy in weigh may bounce from recoil and cause the gun to go off the second or third time "NOT GOOD" Colt found this out the hard way on the GOLD CUP and put in a special sear and put in a lightning cut on the wide trigger on the pistol. Hope this helps. Now most aluminum triggers have a set screw so you can adjust for the amount of over-travel."PRAISE THE HARDBALL GUN" 0
