Anyone know of a site that I can check the serial number of an Ithica SxS to determine when it was made. I am having trouble locating the model number. It is engraved and case colored with extractors and great wood. Any thoughts would be great.

  There were several hammer and about four hammerless models. What is the s/n and markings on the gun. Substitute xxx for the last three digits.There were also a number of grades in each so a good description would be helpful.

  try this link. http://gunshop.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=1 they are going to ask you what marks are on the table. take off the forend and barrel, on the receiver flats there will be markings. One of the numbers is the guage. Other marks are the type of barrels and grade of the gun.

  The gun was recently given to a friend as a wedding present. I will be checking it out in greater detail tomorrow and will post the results.
