Rust In The Barrel

I have inherited an old 20 guage single shot shotgun and it has a bit of rust in the chamber. So much so that the empty shells wont eject because the rust has made the chamber smaller and squeezes the shell so that the ejector cant spit it out. I used a chamber brush to get all of the loose stuff out but it hasnt solved the problem. What should I do?

  Swab some Blue Wonder cleaner in there, heat according to instructions, wait a few minutes, bronze brush, and enjoy.

  You will probably have to polish the chamber before it will work out right.
  Even with the rust out you will still have pits in the metal that will grab onto the caseing, and that needs to be removed.
  Split a dowel rod and use a 600 grit wet- dry sandpaper, or contact Brownells.com and they have a bunch of stuff to do that job the right way.
