1999 Cimarron Fredricksberg Texas Uberti Italy
To whom it may concern:
I have need of information on a matched pair of 'Colt' mfg. Model 1873 45. cal. Long Colt; Model Cimarron Fredricksberg, Texas Ubeti, Italy (1999) issue. Both side gate revolvers are six shot chambered and case hardened finished. One of the pair has a 5 1/2" barrel and the other has a 7 1/2" long barrel. Both are single action army style 'peace makers' and each has an ivory set of grips with an eagle holding a snake in it's mouth on each side. I would like to know the approximate value of this magnificant pair of fire arms before I make my purchase. Any additional history about the very well balanced pair of pistols would also be of great help. The matched pair is being sold as a set only on a consignment sale condition. The seller bought the pair for ' Wild West Shooting Weekends' but lost interest quickly and the six guns show very little wear if any and were very well taken care of while in the gentleman's ownership.

Without knowing more about the grips...real ivory or what...I'd venture a price of 800.00 would be reasonable.Not cheap,but reasonable. Cimarron's version of the Ubertis' is about as good as it gets.
Not quite as good as a real Colt of course.
Am I close??
