What makes an O/U shotgun a "Superposed"? Is the Citori a Superposed?

Can you tell me what Superposed means when referring to Brownings?

Superposed was a Belgium made browning model

the word superposed means: 'placed on top of.'
one on top of the other. an over/under shotgun where one barrel is superimposed on to the other.
thus....a superposed browning shotgun. hope it helps.

It's the name John Browning gave to his design of an over & under con figuration of a double barrel shotgun when most double barrel of the day were side by side.
