  I just bought a Taurus PT-140. What range/target ammunition should I stay away from? I've hear the Winchester white box ammo is not a good load. I bought a box of Remington UMC when I bought the gun. I'm be buying a box of hollow points to keep at the house. Any advice is appreciated. I want to keep this gun for a long time so I don't want to ruin it with cheap ammo. Thanks, Matt

  Cheap ammo will not hurt your firearm. Tarus has a forever warranty as long as you use factory ammo. There really is no "bad" ammo. There may be lots of ammo that do not perform well and some military surplus may be questionable.
  
  I have shot 2,000 rounds of winchester white box 9mm through my Taurus PT92 AF, it shoots just fine. It has also ate that many handloads. It just keeps on shooting.
