I OWN 2 TECS AND LOVE THEM. WHY DID THE ATF/CLINTON CABAL STOP THE MANUFACTURE OF THESE GREAT GUNS? I'VE BEEN TOLD IT'S BECAUSE OF THE NUMBER OF THEM THAT FELL INTO CRIMINAL HANDS, OTHERES SAY IT WAS BECAUSE OF THE EASE WITH WHICH THEY COULD BE CONVERTED TO FULL AUTO. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE REAL STORY? ARE THE MORE RECENT REPLACEMENTS AS GOOD A WEAPON? THANK YOU FOR YOUR INPUT.

Why would it be illegal? It's a handgun and if a person can purchase a handgun, they could buy the Tec 9.

There are a number of states/counties/cities where TEC-9's 7 other so-called assault weapons are illegal or cannot be transferred. You will have to check Published Laws & Ordnances -Firearms (ATF P5300.5).

What state are you in?, believe me the tec-9 is not worth moving for

Then there is the mag issue. It's possible that some locals might allow the pistol but would nail you for a 50 rounder.

Right HVOF. They misfeed and I've never heard anyone call them a tack driver. However if you can't hit the bad guy with 50 rounds you can always beat him over the head with that 12" long mag!
