Marlin 922 feeding problems

I have a Marlin 922 that has a feeding problem.I have fed this gun almost every type of 22 mag ammo out there.It batters about half of
the bullets up, and i've tried a new clip any help would be appreciated. Vernon

    44, I had a 922 and it never had any feeding issues. I would say for starters, give the gun a good cleaning and concentrate on the feed ramp and the bolt face. There could possibly be a burr on or near the feed ramp causing it to "batter up" the bullets as you describe it. You may have to take it to a gunsmith to get the ramp polished if you are not comfortable doing it with a Dremel tool. Did it just start doing it or has it always done it? Did you buy it used?

    Hey Don thanks for the reply, The gun was bought new and has always done this.It appears,when the bolt slides forwars, it just kicks the round up,at to much of an angle. thanks again, Vernon

    Hey thanks for the reply, no haven't called em yet. I'll get the # and give em a try. Also does anyone have kimbers# I have a Kimber 82
    in 22 hornet serial #H5 I was told it was the first one that actually left the factory. Vernon
