Hot to Cold Sight In

I should know this, but I don't! If I sight in (lets say) a .270 or a 12ga that has a rifled barrel with sabots, on a 90 degree day, will the point of inpack be the same on openning day of deer season at 25 degrees using the same exact ammo, the same lot number and the gun which hasn't been bump or jared with all mounts and screwed tight?

  Logicly it would be slightly lower at the colder temps, but in reality it could move in any direction (depending on where the barrel is in it's vibration node at the instant of release).
  Note that the point of impact will probably still be within a inch of where you zeroed.

  Only if you're shooting at long distances will it make enough difference to worry about. Try it at your local 100 yard range and see what the differences are!
