    Speaking with a friend of mine, and he mentioned that Savage made a pump rifle in the 70s, that he believed was called the Model 170. Anyone know anything of this model?I am always interested in pump rifles, and never heard of a savage centerfire pump rifle. Just interested to know how good they are, and if it is worth looking for one.Thanks

    I've had one for about 10 yrs. they are very hard to find.They made the .35 rifle.the 30/30 rifle and the 30/30 carbine.I have all three.The Savage 170 is one of the most accurate rifles(out of the box) I've ever shot.Below is a picture and footnote from "Jim Carmichel's Book 0f The Rifle" [^]
