Browning A-5 Magnum 12

I'm looking at an A-5 magnum 12, but I don't know much about these guns. It has the Invector Plus choke in modified, but there are no other chokes with the gun. It is the Japanese made gun and it has some scratches and dings. The action works very smoothly. The asking price is $525, can someone give me some advice as to whether this is a decent price or not? Does anyone use these for trap or upland game? I understand that the friction rings can be turned to allow the gun to properly shoot 2 3/4" shells? I appreciate any information.

  Can someone tell me when this gun was made. Serial # 74V then under it, 30061.
