whats the cheapest usgi slide going for these days
im building a match 1911A1 45 for a friend. i have all parts except a slide and usgi grips.
what is the cheapest slide in town these days?

i always built on essex. any other excellent frames built to milspec?

Caspian Slides and frames are hard to beat and LES BAER frames don't need to be peened to get a good fit Both CO's have what is termed GUSMITH spec that are pre set up tight .AT perry each year they have a fire sale of frame and slides that have small blemishes. that parkeriseing would cover. I'd look into Rock Island slides. I seen in a Shotgun News that they were pretty cheap.
Did I mention how much I love my Rock Island?

look on fleabay you can take your lick for around a hundred bucks just for the slide, keys grips are fairly cheap but watch for the new fake ones unless that will do for you 0 -
