Stevens 311 shotguns

Can anyone tell me where I can get a book or info on the production dates of Stevens or Savage-Stevens guns, especially shotguns ?

  I think your pretty much out of luck,HOWBECK.
  
  I do have one book that has a lot of information,but DOM's and the like isn't included.
  
  From what I understand,Savage/Stevens never kept records of all that.

  I have a few old 311s that never had serial numbers.From what I understand they were not required to number guns years ago so that would probably make it difficult to determine DOM.
