Just picked up a beautiful Winchester M94 MFG 1947 in a 32WS Cal. The Rifle is probably 85/90% And has seen little use and the price was real right(but I had to sacrifice my wonderful hi-point 9mm as part of the deal, darn it) so I bought it. I am not familiar with the calibre though. Does anyone have or use it? What are this cals. practical uses?

  This was a popular Winchester caliber for years. The 32 Winchester Special is not much different from the .30-30. It was primarily a deer rifle.

  First, what you have is a Carbine, not a Rifle. The 32 Winchester Special (WS) cartridge is ballistically nearly the same as the 30-30, and it has the exact same range & game capabilities.
