loading shotgun slugs

Anyone loading their own slugs????
Source for rifled slugs (bulk projectiles only)?
I'm curious if it is worth it, dollar wise and performance?

I think you could develope some wierd pressures. I would be leary of it. It isnt like shooting trap etc. I cant see that it would be cost effective either.

I show only one load in my hodgdon data powder trap100 24 gr and lyman slug BPGS 1oz velocity 1380 lup10,300 RPX remington case.

I've never seen rifled slug sold anywhere. Your best option might be to get a cheap Lee mould [~$20 thru Graf & Sons] and cast your own. Alliant has reloading data for 12 ga 1 oz. rifled slugs. Whether is is worth it depends on how many slugs you intend to load and shoot and if you already have the casting equipment. The best option is probably to just stock up on loaded ammo at sale prices during hunting season.
