Millett Scope Rings
Hi to all, I know it has been a while since I have graced these pages with my wisdom, and dumb questions, so here I am today, trying to rectify this problem!
My question concerns a problem that I am having with my Millett scope mounts. I bought a new pair thru one of the newer on line distributors, and in using them to mount a new scope to one of my model 70, pre64 Winchesters, one of the ears broke off the mounting pieces that hold the mount to the base.
I have never had this happen to me before, but I thought, oh well, find their address on the Internet, and send in a request for a replacement. Well, there in lays the problem!
I went to their web address, and found a nice lay out, with a listing of all their products, and how to order them. What I did not find, was any link to a page where I could place an order, or send an e-mail back to complain about the problem I was having with their mount!
And that is where I left it.....blank page!
So my question is, "do any of you "Experts" out there know how to get ahold of Millett scope mounts, with either an address, phone number, or e-mail address that I can access with my question"?

Get hold of a recent copy of the "Gun Digest". In the back is a "Manufacturers Directory". Millett is listed in it.
Good Luck. In my experience, from when I lived in Southern CA, years ago. There not very responsive, when you try to contact them directly.

Here is an 800 number for Millett.
1-800 645 5388 ,they are in California so use Pacific time in calling. I know them to be very good at making things right if you have a problem.

BB, Were you using the Millet Angle Loc rings on a Weaver style base? I had the same thing happen while mounting a scope on my brothers rifle.( I reccomended Millet because they have done so well for me) I told him how I have used Millet Angle Locs on all kinds of hard kicking rifles, muzzleloaders and slug guns and they hold zero perfectly. I felt like crap when one of the "ears" broke off when I accidentally overtightened it. He was like "What the hell, I thought these rings were top of the line" I'm thinking maybe they had a batch where the heat treatment was not right or the alloy had some impurities in it. I have them on about a dozen guns and this is the only instance of it ever happening. Luckily, we were able to swap them out where he bought them and the new ones did fine. Millet should replace them for you, no questions asked. Good luck.
