A-5 Problem
Anybody got a good way to get a stuck magazine cap off an A-5 without causing any damage?? The cap isn't rusted on, it's just screwed on too tight. I tried like hell to unscrew it by hand, but it won't budge.

You can use a set of pliers just put a nice thick rag(I used an old leather shami) over it to keep it from marring. I have one of those neat strap wrenches I use for stuff like that now, but I have done the pliers thing a bunch on chromed parts when I worked as a mechanic. Just can t let the metal touch metal. 0 -

MAKE SURE THE GUN IS UNLOADED. Push down on the barrel to relieve tension on it. IF not use the above advice. 0 -
im sure select meant cock and lock the bolt back as the way of making sure its unloaded, then pull back on the bbl, etc...

Try heating the cap with a hair dryer to get it to expand. I would also put some WD-40 on it before you heat it. 0
