Fail to feed problem Llama .380
My Llama Micromax .380 locks open after each round fired. Is this probably caused by a faulty magazine or a recoil spring too strong or too weak? The spring seems very strong to me when compared to other handguns I own in .380. Thanks for any advice. Yes, I have considered selling it, but I'd like to fix it first.

Yep try different ammo . If that doesnt work try another clip. Most likely it is the ammo since the Llama's are famous for being finicky with the ammo. 0 -
my friend's won't load hollowpoints after the first round is fired.

O.K. , Try another (factory made) mag. - stay away from the 'triple k' junk ...if that is not a fix , you have other problems (also try various ammo - these can be somewhat picky), and then contact us if needed ...

Hello,
If the slide is locking back (as in slide stop engaged) with rounds in the magazine, be sure your grip is not putting upward pressure on the bottom of the slide stop during firing. Otherwise, your MicroMax is generally covered under the lifetime warranty and we would be happy to take care of that for you.

here is the real answer to your question. (and I speak from experience on this) take your Llama (POS. cough) drop the mag out and take the round out of the chamber. Next, throw it in the fireplace and watch it melt away. (burns almost as well as wood) after fire is out, go down to you local gun shop and purchase one or all of the following... bersa thunder 380 ( Auction # 37062528), or a Beretta 84FS Cheetah 380 Auto/13rd (Auction # 36816596), or a kel tec P-3AT (Auction # 36973567). Any one of those will do you good and not get you killed if you reallie need it.

classic consumerizm. the easy way out is the only way out. not me. i like challenges. im sure you do too. that llama is fixable and there are plenty of gunsmiths here that will guide you. good luck!

I have other .380's including a Bersa and Makarov, and a Colt Govt.380. I bought this one because of a good deal and because I liked how it felt. I think the mag is after-market. There are no markings on it. Would a factory mag be marked in any way? I plan to get it fixed. I know it's not a top quality gun but I think it's worth repairing. I tried some ball ammo and it works better but still locks open about twice for every 7 rounds. Thanks for the replies. 0 -
I have the Llama fixed now. I took the magazine apart, cleaned it, reversed the mag spring, and polished the feed lips on the mag. One of these things was the problem. Today it fed 100%. Thanks for the replies.
