Ideas on cleaning a loaded indicator?

Well just bought first pistol a few weeks ago, my problem i have with it is that it has a loaded indicator on top of the slide of the pistol. well of course after u shoot u have to clean, so is there any way to clean the indicator without haveing lead, and powder residue comeing out after cleaning? Cause this problem happens when i move the indicator up and down. (don't say then don't move it up and down, lololol) I have a Ruger KP345PR decocker model double action

take away my guns, use knifes, take away my knifes, use rocks, take away rocks,i starve, sorry for u BRITS out there

  I've had a similar problem on a different gun... just ignore it.

  I assume you are talking about intermediate cleaning of the indicator only.
  If you had residue coming out after you cleaned the gun, then you didn't clean the gun.
  
  If you hosed the indicator with some volatile solvent, you might have a clean indicator for a while, but you just created more and bigger problems. So you see, I am serious. It bugs me too because I never liked the thing anyway.

  The next best thing to disassembly is a high pressure solvent, such as Gun Scrubber. Put the little tube right up next to the gaps and blow out any junk, then follow up with squirting something like BreakFree in there and working the indicator several times. Just be sure and let any excess lubricant hemorrhage out before loading.
