changing bbl on nef handi

read that the factory has to fit the bbl on your receiver. i experimented with my nef and available bbls. appears to fit fine, but i will not shoot it. just wanted to ask here as to why, how, etc.

  The main thing is the head space,I suppose.The factory will set the new bbl. up w/correct headspace and whatever else.I guess a qualified gunsmith could do the same thing if you already have a bbl.that is not original to the gun.NEF will not sell a bbl. unless they set it up themselves.

  Bobbywins is correct. I imagine it is a liability issue for NEF.
