1970s? Tikka Combo 12-70/ .222rem

I have been holding onto my Dad's favorite riffle.
He passed away 10 years ago.
I am curious to know what value shotgun enthusiasts would put on this type of riffle?
It was purchased in the early 70s possibly late 60's from Zurich or Geneva.
It is an Under and Over Combo ( 12 guage full choke/ .222 Rem)
There are not many markings on it . This is what I found:
OY TIKKAKOSKI AB 33692
12-70 .222REM
It is in great shape blueing is 98%, walnut stock is engraved (checkered) and not scratched at all.
I have the specifications colour pamphlet which states
full length 42 1/4 inch
weight 7 1/4 lbs
exposed length of over barrel 26 1/4
lexposed length of under barrel 24 1/2
Made of Bofors Steel.

Hello another name for your combo gun is "VALMET model 412" these guns are a smart & poor mans drilling. THe great thing is you can adjust the point of impact between the barrels for different loads etc and all the barrels are interchangeable. I have one receiver and 4 sets of barrels. My 243/12GA barrel shoots smaller groups then my SAKO heavy barrel 243. 0 -
That is one of my favorite guns also. It is a tikka. Later to be called Valmet. A gun in your calibur with box would go from $400 - 1200 depending upon condition. Does it have a Hammer? I believe the Hammer went away when valmet fot them. It is a well made Combo gun that is adjustable and has plenty of accessories (not cheap). Your Barrel happens to be more sought after with a small calibur bottom bbl. Get a set of 12ga. with choke tubes or double rifles and you dont need any other gun. The 12-70 means dont use 3" magnum shells just 2 3/4! with a scope mount and scope they are a little heavy but alot of fun. I bought one (valmet) at a gun show off a person for $200 and sold it in about ten minutes for $600 and that was 15 years ago, and it was in orig. box. They are on the same lines a good old Sako's. Same country and same bofors steel. The Fins can make guns! 0
