Scope Blocks

I have a BSA Martini which currently wears an old 3 or 4 power Lyman externally adjustable scope. As my eyes get older and older I now realize I need more power. I am looking at a Redfield 3200 12 power scope which will mount on the existing blocks using modern 1 inch rings and bases. My question is, will the new scope bases needed to accomodate the 1 inch rings mount directly to the holes in the Martini barrel--i.e.are the holes in the new bases going to to line up?

  Sorry, PJ--that question is impossible to answer without knowing the hole spacing existing on your rifle and what blocks or bases you propose to use. [:)]

  Thanks. I finally smartened up and figured it out. I am going to use the existing blocks and rimfire (3/8) rings.
