where can I find original hand grips for a colt .22 buntline?
I would also like to replace the frame, are they available?

  I have a Colt single action Buntline Scout .22 with 9 1/2" barrel. It looks like someone at one time was going to re-blue it; the backstrap is without any bluing, the rest is in average condition. Serial #188486F. The bottom of the backstrap is stamped "LA's DEPUTY"
  Does anyone know approximate manufacture date and value? Is there any significance to the stamping?

  # 188486F was made in 1965.
  
  Colt Frontier Scout (Q or F Suffix), Blue Book value:
  
  98% - $425
  95% - $325
  90% - $250
  80% - $200
  70% - $175
  
  Add 20% for Buntline model.
  
  I have no idea what the "LA's DEPUTY" means.

  I had one of those a year or so ago. They are not blued. The frame is alloy and the finish is anodized.
