Remington 1100 and 1100 Magnum Stock Interchange??

Will the 2 stocks interchange. I see from remington that they list no specific 1100 magnum fore end. AS does Numrich gun parts. They do list a specific buttstock but I am assuming that the recoil pad is the only differece. I dont shoot 3 inch much at all and I have a friend with a nice set of standard 1100 wood he will pretty much give me 30 bucks in the box. It would be nice to have it around for my new Remington, I just need to know if it will work.

Also I see alot of crakced forearms on these. Why do they crack so much?? I saw a guy mention fiberglass reinforcing forearms....would this help??? I dont like synthetic so I would like to keep my wood as nice as possible.

    They should fit
    You should just pop them off
    and try them for size ,would take 2-3 minutes

    Well my friend lives 3 hours away and we talk ont he phone so it would have to be mailed or delivered, or I have to go pick them up. I just wanted to know to avoid all that hassle and jazz.

    Yes they will interchange with 1 another..Your right only diff is Mag.has a recoil pad. Just thin wood on forearm,,yes fiberglass strips down the middle help.

    Groovy!!! I'll get them then and reinforce both forearms. Im use to 338 win mags so a 3in mag without a pad wont hurt me too bad. Hell I can shot my old k98 with the steel buttplate all day long.
