tinmanjj: I believe You have a Remington Rider Shotgun # 3. Single Barrel, Simi-Hammerless, Made 1893-1903....Came in various Gauges 16, 10, 12, 20 and 24. Cocks with thumb lever on left side of frame.
I'd take it to a Gunsmith and let Him replace the pin...If You happen to slip you'll end up with Parts Missing. Iy You intend to shoot this Old Gun You should seriously consider having it checked over by an Expert for evaluation and cerified to shoot Low Base Shells.................
