    having feeding problems seems like its ok for 2 or 3 shots on a full mag but then doesnt feed the other rounds. it has the regular fixed mag. thanks

    I have two Yugo SKS rifles. I would suggest cleaning it after 200 rounds before going on. I have had one jam pretty badly due to having a dirty action. Go to cheaperthandirt.com and buy some Wolf ammo, it works great.[8D]

    If it's anything like the Yugo the wife bought, CLEAN IT THOROUGHLY before shooting it. Everything: barrel, gas system, receiver, they'll all probably be coated in thick packing grease. Paint thinner or similar solvents work best. Relube it with Remoil before shooting and assuming you got everything, it should shoot fine. Ours isn't that accurate (compared to my Chinese) and that grenade launcher makes it loud as hell. As for accuracy with the gas shut off, I haven't noticed any difference but haven't put that many rounds through it with in that mode. It's a fun gun and good enough for when the zombies attack but not accurate enough for serious work.

    The Yugos that go at that price are pretty much shot out, or have other problems like fire control or firing pin. To get one in excellent condition is going to cost you about $180.00 to $225.00.

    Now, don't come right back at me how yours is perfect, even if it is in decent shape, because if you did get lucky, the next 10 guys that buy at that price will get sorry guns.

    I bought one on here, same price-probably the same guy. He was great with communication and it got here in a hurry. Was pretty dirty, but cleaned up well. Had the guy's name who it was issued to (assuming) engrave in the stock by a knife "TAHA". I thinks it's pretty cool. Goin to the range with it this afternoon.

    Better to carry a pistol and not need it than need a pistol and not have it.

    Yeah that's him. He was great with communication. I sent out a money order on wednesday the 10th and got it yesterday the 19th (Idaho to Indiana).

    I fibbed, some things came up today and I'm definitely goin to the range tommorow.

    It was very dirty, as to be expected. It was an original issued weapon and probably saw combat at some time. The guy who carried it, engraved his name in the stock. Since it was an issued weapon for some military somewhere they probably shot the hell out of it with corrosive ammo and the bore shows it. I went through an entire bag of 50 patches trying to clean it and could still use another 15-20 more passes. You'll have to buy some good cleaner, I used Birchwood Casey's Bore Cleaner. It cleans and lubes the bore with a rust preventing coating. It's also good for removing slight surface rust with steel wool. They say you don't have to tear it down and clean every little part before you shoot it, but I did and am glad I did. Still having some trouble getting my firing pin retainer pin out of the ass'y. Action is still very smooth for a well beaten gun.

    It was a dissapointment. Took it to the range today and every other round gets stuck in the bolt. Tried it again and now I have to use a hammer to get the bolt back (it won't cycle on every round) and no I have not shut the gas shut off valve. I don't know what to do. If I fire with the gas shut off open(??) It will fire everytime but I need to manually cycle it, but I don't need a hammer to break the bolt loose... Any Ideas?????????

    One gallon jug of mineral spirits, a few large glass jars, and a paint brush.Strip that yugo down to the firing pin, dunk all the parts into the jars filled with mineral spirits.Don't mess with the front sight post. In other words don't unscrew that puppy out all the way.Dip your paint brush in the mineral spirits and wash that barrel down good. Then after an hour of dunking you can brush all the other parts down. The screw on the fore arm doesn't have to come out. The screw below the bolt doesn't have to be removed. With the bolt in the forward or closed position, and the rifle unloaded.there is a lever at the rear of the blot. pull the lever, (raise the lever up), then pull it out away from the rifle. You can remove the bolt housing the spring, the bolt and the firing pin now. The firing pin block is hard to dissasemble. You have to give it more then three wacks to get that pin out.The gas valve body is easyer to dissasemble if you have a dentist pick that has a half circle. Insert the pick in the lever in front of the blot. Raise the lever by pulling away from the rifle and up. Dump the valve and the valve body into the mineral spirits.The trigger aseembly has a button behind the triger gaurd.Push down on that button and pull up on the triger guard. You'll wish you had three arms and hands. If you have a bayonet extend it out. The barrel should pull off from the stock now.Good luck.

    I forgot the magazine has to be removed before the barrel can be removed from the stock. Don't froget to clean the inside of the barrel. Then oil it all up with a fine coat of oil.The Yugo is a fine shooting rifle.
