Marlin 39 Repair help.

I am fixing up and old marlin 39 lever action 22 that was given to me recently. Anyways its in excellent shape but the front "ring" that holds the magazine tube in place is brakoen in half and the lower half if gone. I do see that Numrich has the part but How do you remove the old part and replace it.

  Looking at the side of the band, can you see the end of a little pin? Drive the pin out right to left. Then, if the broken part of the band doesn't just fall out, drive it out right to left from the barrel dovetail. Reassemble new part in reverse order.
