Wingmaster small bores?

What is keeping the price of the 870 small bores up? seems like the .410 and 28ga. should be priced at the 20 and 12. is this historical to keep the small ones pricey?

  I would say that due to the smaller number of units produced, the cost per unit for production is higher. The is because the fixed costs of production is spread among fewer units.
