    Bought some ultramax remanufactured .223 ammo to shoot out of my bushmaster ar-15, and it was junk. It wouldn't eject the spent case from the reciever. Has anyone else had this problem with ultramax, any suggestions on a cheap ammo that shoots well out the ar-15

    miltary surplus factory neew ammo can be purchased at various on-line suppliers for as low as 17 cents a round plus shipping.

    Check out www.aimsurplus.com they have radway green surplus ammo for $150 for an ammo can of 900. It is all on stripper clips, and it shoots pretty well.

    I've had pretty good results with ultramax reloaded ammo. Sometimes a little dirty but functions well.

    i've used some of their 45lc and 38spe. ammo and it shot ok but was a little dirty

    Their .223 is junk. you can stand up a bunch of their ammo together and see the difference of seating depths. too much better ammo out there

    I have been selling 223, 30-30 and 45/90 ammo mfg. by UltraMax and have yet to find a single fault. I have just loaded up my DPMS 223 and will let you know how it shoots.

    Just took a trip to the range (moved my chair back two feet and opened the back door of the store). Ran a magazine of the UltraMax 223, 55 grain FMJ remanufactured ammo through the above mentioned rifle. It strikes the same point of impact as the Federal Eagle FMJ 55 grain. Function was perfect. Checked all cartridges and found them (externally) to be very consistent.

    All the cases have been recovered (Lake City) and are clean and look very reloadable.

    We have used the 30-30 and 45/90 Cowboy loads and find them to be excellent also.
