need information on old double barrell
Have come across a double barell shotgun that has eclips gun co. on the barrell has rabbit ear hammers 181/4 inch barrels side plate is stamped Wells Fargo. thats all the info on it. Would anyone out their know anything about this gun thanks for any info on it.

You, sir, are the proud owner of an "enhanced" Belgian clunker. You'll find ELG proofs on the underside of the barrels as the Elcipse name is very common. "Wells Fargo" was added at some later date to provide provenance and enhance value.
The ploy didn't work all that well unless it got you to pay a premium over the going value of these old mantle queens... $50.00 on up to $250.00 here in the east. More in the west so I'm told, but not much more.

Boltaction.....If you've got a weird sense of humor (like me), carve the initials "MJC" (for Martha Jane Canary) on the stock, hang it on the wall, and tell all your friends that it's the gun Calamity Jane carried when she rode shotgun on the Deadwood Stage! [:D]
